Asakusa….old town under the highest tree!

Asakusa….old town under the highest tree!

If you visit Tokyo Sky Tree, don’t forget to walk around it. The tower is located in Tokyo’s old town, and most of the foreign tourists love the place called “Asakusa” near here, where you can find the town’s symbol, “Kaminarimon” red gate with puffed big lantern. When you walk through this gate, there are so many shops for souvenirs along the street to Sensoji temple.

Around the gate, you can also find the places to dine; Sansada restaurant for the finest Tempura, Komagata dojo, known as the oldest loach hot pot in Edo (old Tokyo) style, Kamiya Bar for Asakusa’s famous electric-like strong whiskey cocktail “Denki bran,” Funawa’s Japanese style ice cream jelly with red bean “Anmistu” for sweeters. To tell the truth…. these are what I’d eaten on the day I visited!!
